In the digital age, brands are no longer limited to a static, passive presence. They can now engage with customers in ways that were previously unimaginable. As a result, interactivity marketing has grown in popularity and become an integral part of many companies' digital strategies.
Interactivity marketing is nothing new; people have been interacting with brands for years by saying something on social media or signing up for loyalty programs. But what makes interactivity so powerful is that it allows you to truly connect with your audience by responding to their needs and desires in real-time. You can use this approach to get people talking about your brand or product, build trust between you and your users, increase engagement rates and generate leads for sales—all while building brand awareness along the way!
Interactivity marketing is growing in popularity and easy to implement with these simple tips
Interactive marketing is a growing trend. It's also easy to implement with these simple tips:
Tell a story
Offer a solution
Ask questions
Be provocative
Reward your audience
Now, let's dive into the deets...

Tell a story.
If you want to engage your audience, tell a story that is relevant to them. It’s important that you start by creating something unique – a story that isn’t already available in their newsfeed or on TV. Your content should be relatable, insightful and valuable for your audience. This will encourage them to share it with others and make it easy for their friends to engage with the content as well.
Offer a solution.
Have you ever noticed how some brands seem to get it right every time? It’s not that they always have the best product, or a flawless marketing approach; it’s because they offer something unique and valuable. They solve a problem, question or challenge for your audience by offering not just an answer but also an experience that can be shared with others.
This is why I think interactive content is so important now more than ever before. If you want to engage with your audience on social media—and beyond—you need to do more than just tell them what you have to offer (i.e., the sale), but show them what the benefit of buying your product/service will be (i.e., getting rid of piles of dirty laundry).
Ask questions.
Get your audience involved by asking them to share their opinions, ideas, and experiences. This gives you a better understanding of what they think and makes them feel like they’re part of the conversation. It also helps you identify trends in your audience’s behavior that can inform future decisions about strategy and content.
Ask for feedback on your product or service offerings — whether it’s an update on something new or an existing product/service that needs some improvements. It shows customers that you value their input and care about making sure what you offer is helpful for them.
Be provocative.
Provocative content is designed to spark a reaction. It might be controversial, funny, shocking or surprising. The point of provocative content is to get people talking and sharing it with others.
The goal of provocative marketing is to create an emotional connection with your audience so that they feel something when they see your brand or product.
Provocative marketing can be used for both B2B and B2C purposes; however, it’s best used when you have a product that’s fun or exciting rather than boring or dry (e.g., car insurance).

Reward your audience.
Giving your audience a reward for engaging with you is a great way to boost engagement. For example, give them access to exclusive content that’s only available for those who engage with you on social media. Or, offer them a discount on their next purchase from you.
You could also give them a gift in exchange for their engagement or feature them in some way as part of your strategy. For example, if they share your Instagram post with friends on Facebook, then they might be featured in Instagram Stories!
