The 3 E’s of Strategic Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is the best way to reach your audience, and there are many different types of social media. The key to successful social media marketing is making sure that your content is engaging, educational, and entertaining at the same time.

The first thing you should do when using social media for marketing purposes is find out what kinds of posts your customers respond to best.

For example, if you're selling high-end luxury goods on Instagram, then you should post pictures of beautiful people wearing those high-end luxury goods. If you're selling products that appeal to a younger crowd, then try posting funny memes or videos of celebrities endorsing your product in some way.

It's also important that you post regularly so that people don't forget about your brand or company. Every day or every week would be best, but even once a month can help keep people interested in what you have to offer!

When you follow these 3 steps, your marketing campaign can be incredibly successful.

  • Educate your audience. Give them a reason to engage with your brand or product by providing valuable information that they need to know.

  • Entertain the audience. If you're not entertaining them, then they will likely find something else more entertaining and move on from what you have to say. This could include creating memes, infographics or even just posting funny pictures every once in a while!

  • Engage with the audience through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Don't just post about yourself; ask questions of people who comment on posts often so that it makes them feel important enough (and hopefully successful) enough for them not only buy but recommend whatever product/service it may be trying to sell at hand - because we all love helping others out when possible with something new from our life experiences such as hobbies hobbies hobbies hobbies hobbies!

Here's some more detail for each category:

Educate

The most important of the three E's is education. You need to educate your audience on whatever it is you're trying to sell them, whether that's a product or service, an industry trend or a company mission. If no one knows what you're talking about, even if they want what you're selling, they won't buy it.

So how do we do this? There are lots of ways: blog content, infographics and ebooks are all excellent vehicles for sharing information with your potential customers.

These pieces provide value by answering questions that people might not have thought of yet—but when they see those answers laid out in front of them (or read them on their phone), they'll be more likely to make a purchase than if they were left entirely in the dark.

Entertain

The second E of successful social media marketing is entertainment. Your brand should be fun, creative and funny just like you. People are drawn to brands that are relatable and entertaining because they help customers feel comfortable interacting with them.

So how do you entertain your audience? One way is by using humor to break the ice and make your brand more relatable.

You can share articles or videos that will resonate with your audience members’ interests in order to encourage engagement with your posts; posting about these topics on relevant days can also boost engagement rates as well!

Engage

Engagement is the last E, and it's a tricky thing. If you ask too many questions, people will just stop answering them because it's annoying to have to keep giving the same answer over and over again. But if you don't ask any questions, then what's the point of even talking to them?

You need to strike a balance between the two—you want your followers feeling like they're part of a community, but not so much that it becomes overwhelming or burdensome for them. The key is knowing when and how often to engage in conversations with your customers and fans on social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter.

Here are some ways you can engage:

  • Responding promptly (or even better—before) when someone comments on one of your posts goes a long way toward making them feel appreciated as an individual customer rather than just another number in your follower count.

Remember what we said earlier about showing appreciation through social media? This is why! Plus it makes everyone else who sees this interaction think "Hey cool! They actually care what I think about things.

  • Asking for feedback during contests or promotions can also be effective since people love being asked their opinion about things—as long as it doesn't feel too pushy (see above).

Be sure not only that there are clear instructions provided beforehand but also that there's an easy way for participants/contestants/etc., whoever they are, to submit their answers once they've figured out what was being asked of them in the first place (i.e., don't make me click three different buttons before getting results!)

Conclusion

Remember: when you follow these three steps, your content marketing campaigns can be incredibly successful. Take a look at some of the examples we’ve provided and get started on your own today!
