5 Strategies to Grow Organically on Social Networks

A lot of people have no idea how to grow organically on social media, but it's actually not that difficult.

If you don't believe me, just look at any popular Instagram account or YouTube channel. They're filled with tons of content and engagement from their audience.

It's also easy for someone who knows what they're doing to grow their following on all platforms by posting engaging content that resonates with users in their niche.

But if you're like me and have a hard time coming up with ideas for new posts every week, then here are some strategies I use to make sure my content stays fresh and relevant!

1. Post on a regular basis with the intention of increasing brand awareness, boosting engagement and growing your followers.

Posting regularly is one of the most important things you can do to grow organically on social networks. The more often you post, the more opportunities your content will have to be seen by people who are interested in your brand, and therefore the more chances it has of being shared and liked by them. Posting regularly also helps build engagement with followers and potential new customers.

The key here is intentionality: if you only post when something big happens at work or home (like a new job promotion or a huge event), then those posts will be more effective than random ones scattered throughout the week that don't seem related in any way whatsoever.

2. Get creative with your posts. Use images, graphics, videos and polls to engage your audience.

Make your posts interesting.

Images, graphics and videos are all good ways to add visual interest to your content. When you have something worth sharing, don’t just write about it—show it! For example, if you're promoting a new product or service on social media, show the product in action.

Or get creative with a video that explains what makes your business different from others out there. If you're having a special event (like an annual convention), post images of attendees having fun at the event along with information about when and where they can find more info online (or download an app).

Get people involved by using polls.

The best way to engage followers is through polls because they give them something fun to participate in while getting their feedback on topics relevant to your business's audience—and it can also serve as great marketing material for later use as well!

3. Use hashtags as a way to connect with other users who share similar interests or goals as you.

There are many ways hashtags could be used to find new customers and partners, but here are some specific examples:

  • Use hashtags as a way to connect with other users who share similar interests or goals as you. For example, if your company is involved in fundraising for cancer research and awareness, you could use the hashtag #CancerAwarenessMonth to connect with those who share that interest.

  • Hashtags can also help you find content related to your business's area of expertise. For example, if you're a fitness trainer who specializes in weight loss programs for women over 40, use the hashtag #WeightLossForWomenOver40 because it's likely that there will be people posting photos of themselves working out or sharing stories about their own weight loss journeys on social media during this time period. You might even get some ideas from others on what works best when it comes to losing weight at this age!

4. Follow people who follow others within your niche. Send them a direct message to introduce yourself and explain how you can collaborate.

Always follow people (especially influencers) who follow others within your niche. That way, you can also see who they're following. Then, send them a direct message to introduce yourself and explain how you can collaborate. If they don't respond, don't give up! They might just be busy or haven't seen your message yet.

If you're unsure of what to say, try something like: "Hey [name of person], I saw that you're following [person that has similar interests]! I'm new to this platform and would love to collaborate with someone who knows their stuff. Would you be interested in chatting?"

5. Incorporate user-generated content into your social strategy. Engage with the people in your community by asking for their input on certain topics or inviting them to participate in contests.

Asking for user-generated content is a great way to connect with your audience. You can ask for feedback on a product or service, ideas for new products and services, help with a project you’re working on, or submissions for a contest.

User-generated content allows you to get input from the people in your community and build up relationships in an organic way—and that gives you valuable insights into what they care about most.

Bonus tip: It's important to post engaging content and connect with your target audience frequently.

Your audience will be more likely to engage with you and your company if they feel like you’re talking directly to them.

When you post engaging content, it’s important that the content is relevant to your target audience. You can find out what type of content is most popular in your industry by searching for keywords on social media or in a search engine like Google or Yahoo!

Conclusion

Remember that you can’t just post once and expect to see results. It’s important to be consistent and keep your audience engaged with new content on a regular basis. With these strategies in mind, you should be able to grow organically on social media!
